National Convention Review & Why It Matters to Markets
Over the next two weeks, we will be breaking down the National Conventions and how select policy statements could impact the market. We will start with the Democratic National Convention, which took place over August 17th to August 20th. The Republican National Convention started on Monday, August 24th and will run for four nights. President Trump is expected to make a speaking appearance on all four nights.

Election Baskets & Polling
Last week we covered our Election Baskets and we wanted to provide an update on the performance and polling data.1, 2 While Trump’s polling has held up in August, our Republican Basket has not supported the move. Following this week’s Republican National Convention, we are looking for a bounce higher in the Republican Basket relative to the Democratic Basket.
